South Africans in AustriaBrand Identity | Web Design
South Africans in Austria is an NGO created to connect and support the South African community living in Austria, a group that spans two rich and distinct cultural traditions.
The brief called for a visual identity that honoured both heritages equally, without flattening either into a symbol of the other.
The logo brings together the South African protea and the peaks of the Austrian Alps, a meeting point between two landscapes and two identities. The supporting pattern system draws on the geometric language of traditional Zulu textile work and the decorative symmetry found in Austrian church rooftops, weaving both traditions into a single, cohesive visual voice.
